Online Safety

Here at The Willows, we appreciate what a wonderful resource the internet is, and how the World Wide Web opens up a number of positive opportunities for children and adults alike.  During COVID, we became so reliant upon working online to try and ensure the best possible learning experiences for our children while they were at home.  And no doubt the internet provided many ways to help pass the time during lockdowns too.

However, we are also very aware that such a resource does come with risks.  That is why as a school, we have robust processes and procedures in place to ensure the online safety of pupils, staff, volunteers and governors.

We aim to deliver an effective approach to online safety which empowers us to protect and educate the whole school community in its use of technology while at the same time having clear mechanisms to identify, intervene and escalate an incident where appropriate.

We hope this section of our website can provide useful and practical help for parents and carers.

We want all the children at The Willows to be SMART online.
